Return to school in September
We are following the latest DfE guidance documentation. As you can imagine there are still lots of factors to consider when returning all pupils.
All pupils are expected to return to school from Wednesday 2nd September. In order to ensure appropriate social distancing takes place we do have some staggered starts and finishes to the day. Please note carefully the appropriate start and finish times, and entry points below for your child and arrive on time at the school site – please do not arrive earlier than the stated time as we need to keep the amount of people on site at a minimum.

School lunches
From September the school kitchen will re-open but will serve a reduced hot menu. A copy of this menu is available on our school website and from the school office. Please note that there is only one daily choice of meal each day. Please look carefully at the meal each day. If you would like your child to bring a packed lunch instead from home then please do so. You do not need to inform us if your child swaps between school lunch or packed lunch. Children will be eating their lunch in their classroom and not in the hall.
Breakfast and After School Clubs
Under the new guidance from the DfE each class has to remain in its own ‘bubble’, meaning children are not allowed to mix with other children from different year groups throughout the school day. As a result, this unfortunately means that initially we will not be running a breakfast club or after school clubs. During the course of the autumn term we will of course be looking at this closely as we fully understand how families appreciate this service.
School Uniform and equipment
Please send your child to school in full school uniform from September. However, on your class ‘PE day’ we are asking that children come to school in their PE kit (Joggers, leggings, T-shirt, Waterville sweatshirt and trainers). This will help hugely in ensuring children don’t have to use separate rooms to get changed in at school. PE days are as follows :
Reception – Friday
Year 1 – Monday
Year 2 – Thursday
Year 3 – Wednesday
Year 4 – Friday
Year 5 – Tuesday
Year 6 – Monday
CSB – Wednesday
Pupils are only allowed to bring a packed lunch bag to school. No other bags should be brought in. School will be providing all pupils with their own equipment.
